Adkins speaks at Town & Country meeting

Sam Adkins, right, S.G.A. Elementary School principal, was the guest speaker at the Town Country Woman's Club recent meeting. Donna Spikes, left, a speech-language pathologist at S.G.A. and Blakeney Elementary School, introduced him. Topics of discussion included the new Georgia Performance Standards curriculum, and Adkins informed the club's members that Burke County was rated in the top five curriculums across the nation. Also during the meeting, Kim Dixon, who will attend the HOBY (Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership) seminar later this month, was introduced. She is being sponsored by Town & Country.
