GSU
Several area students have been named to the president's list at Georgia Southern University for the spring 2007 term. These students have achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average with a minimum of 12 credit hours for the semester.
They are Kelly Gagne of Waynesboro and Jamika Y. Harvey of Keysville.
Students named to the dean's list are Jay B. Arnett and Todd R. Dickey, both of Waynesboro, Melissa J. Cope of Sardis and Denise R. Thomas of Keysville.
To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours for the semester.
Lauren Hogan
Lauren Elizabeth Hogan will be inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars
NSCS) this fall on the campus of the University of Georgia.
NSCS is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is the nation's only interdisciplinary honors organization for first and second year college students. Membership is by invitation only, based on grade point average and class standing.
Hogan, a co-valedictorian of the Edmund Burke Academy Class of 2006, is currently enrolled in the UGA Study Abroad Program and, while in Australia, will take courses in forestry and international affairs.
She is the daughter of David and Carol Hogan of Waynesboro.
