Big Dawg visits Burke County High
University of Georgia Head Football Coach Mark Richt, left, flew into Waynesboro last Thursday to pay a visit to Burke County High School and spent a few minutes chatting with students and faculty in the school's mall area. While NCAA regulations prohibit Coach Richt from talking football this time of year with BCHS rising senior Cornelius Washington, who has already made a verbal commitment to UGA, he did have a chance to simply shake the soft-spoken standout's hand and say hello. According to Coach Richt, he and other college coaches are not allowed to speak to potential recruits about their football plans at this time, but they are allowed to visit schools, watch practices and evaluate players.
