Sardis residents to see temporary change in bills
By Diana Royal Staff Writer

Sardis residents need not worry if their June water bills are higher than usual.

This will be a one time thing as the city converts to a new software program, city clerk Jennie Johnson explained.

In order to get ready for the conversion, the city began reading water meters earlier than usual. While bills for May will not be sent until the end of the month, they will be based on a shorter time period thus making the total bill a lesser amount than the norm.

Johnson went on to explain that June bills will be higher but only because they will be based on readings from May 15-June 25.
