Six Burke County teens advanced in the Georgia SAFE program's Target Challenge Weekend at Rock Eagle 4-H center May 12. The boys, all juniors and seniors in the modified trap competition, were led by coach David Hogan, left. Qualifying for the state level competition were team members, second from left, Hamilton Hogan, Wesley Oellerich, Jake Evans, Brendan McManus, Austin Eberly and Ryan Crouch. Both Hogan and Evans posted 24/25 scores for the first round. With a perfect 25/25, Oellerich was the only shooter to advance to the shoot-off round.
