Waynesboro guardsman honored

Sergeant Angdris Brigham, left, of Waynesboro, received a Defender of Freedom Certificate in recognition for his recent service in Iraq with the 214th Security Force. This was Brigham's second deployment to Iraq. Brigham, a fire control specialist with Battery A, 1st Battalion, 214th Field Artillery, Georgia Army National Guard, was among more than 130 returning National Guard soldiers honored by Brig. Gen. Larry Ross, right, commander, 78th Troop Command during military ceremonies at Fort Stewart in April.
