Youth Explosion 2007

Youth Explosion 2007 will be held at Padgett's Farm 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 8-9.

AJ Reed will be the keynote speaker, and other appearances include Canton Jones, Melvin Adams (former Harlem Globetrotter), Shawn Patrick Williams, Dr. Kim Klaudt, Jack Williams, Brotherhood of Jesus Christ and gospel groups.

Free legal help

Georgia Legal Services Program (GLSP) staff will be in Burke County 8:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Monday, June 4, to meet with senior citizens who need free legal help on a first-come, first-served basis.

The service is available to those 60 and older who have a civil (non-criminal) legal issue. Staff will be located at the Waynesboro Senior Center, 717 W. 6th St., Waynesboro.

Carwash

The Burke County Middle School cheerleaders will hold a carwash 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Sonic in Waynesboro.

The cost is $5 and will include a wash and dry, tire shine and window cleaning.
