The following arrests and citations were reported last week by the Waynesboro Police Department:

Monday, May 14

+ Matthew Lamont King, 53, of 954 Ashbury Church Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for shoplifting.

+ Dusty Travis Belk, 17, of 1371-E Ellison Bridge Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for shoplifting.

+ A 15-year-old Sardis boy was arrested for shoplifting.

Tuesday, May 15

+ Alfonzo Parnell Davis, 17, of 1150 Scott Store Road, Millen, was arrested for shoplifting.

Thursday, May 17

+ Tony Bryant, 47, of Hwy. 25 South, Waynesboro, was arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license and improper display of license plate.

Friday, May 18

+ Cornelius R. Hankerson, 33, of 433 Eisto Drive, North Augusta, S.C., was arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license (first offense) and failure to stop at a stop sign.

+ Tonya Griffin, 35, of Waynesboro, was charged with permitting an unauthorized minor to drive.

+ A 15-year-old Waynesboro girl was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign and no driver's license.

Sunday, May 20

+ Cedric Lamont Kent, 32, of Waynesboro was arrested on warrants for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine.

The following arrests were reported last week by the Burke County Sheriff 's Office:

Monday, May 14

+ Channell Latrice White, 24, of 5245 River Road, Lot 5, Waynesboro, was arrested for harassing phone calls. A $1,300 property bond was posted.

Tuesday, May 15

+ Tara Renee Norton, 18, of 1788 Winter Road, Blythe, was arrested for arson in the second degree.

Thursday, May 17

+ Joseph Darrell Harper, 42, of 915 Washington Drive, Sardis, was arrested for DUI, driving with a revoked license, probation violation and contempt of child support order.

+ Charles Henry Brown Jr., 25, of 153 Cleveland Drive, Waynesboro, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for driving with a suspended or revoked license, speeding (71 mph in a 55 mph zone) and obscuring tag. A $2,050 property bond was posted.

Saturday, May 19

+ Eddie Nakia Williams, 32, of 915 Quaker Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for simple battery and cruelty to children in the second degree. A $2,600 property bond was posted.

+ Stephen Freeman Jr., 56, of 1206 Hancock Landing Road, Waynesboro, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for DUI. A $1,300 property bond was posted.

Monday, May 21

+ Jacob William Cousins, 27, of 2846 Walton Way, Augusta, was arrested for DUI, driving with a revoked or suspended license, no proof of insurance, failure to maintain lane and violation of the Georgia Open Container Law. A $4,662.50 property bond was posted.
