Queensborough robbers arrested A Waynesboro teen and his lookout were arrested for the robbery at the Queensborough Bank drive-through Friday afternoon. According to a report filed at the Waynesboro Police Department, Damien Chance, 17, al- legedly ran past the drivethrough window and snatched $900 in cash from the teller drawer. The teller had just cashed a check and was in the process of giving the money to an elderly customer who was waiting in her car. Chance got away, but officers surrounded his alleged lookout, 18-year-old Settron Bell, on West Seventh Street and arrested him. Chance, who was identified from security footage, turned himself in later that day. Waynesboro Police Chief Karl E. Allen said both boys are charged with robbery and that roughly half of the stolen money has been recovered. Last month, Bell was detained by Richmond County officers after they determined he was sitting in the front seat of 21-yearold Corey Joseph's car when he (Joseph) was allegedly shot and killed by Waynesboro resident Deandre Holmes. Bell has not been charged in the murder. |
