39 seniors will receive diplomas from Edmund Burke Academy May 28

Thirty-nine seniors will receive diplomas at Edmund Burke Academy's 36th graduation ceremony, Monday, May 28, 8 p.m. at the Burke County Office Park.
Speakers will be April McDaniel, class of 2007's valedictorian, and salutatorian, Ashley Memory.
A Baccalaureate service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 27 at First United Methodist Church of Waynesboro. The students have chosen the Rev. Wayne Dixon as their keynote speaker.
McDaniel is the daughter of Richard and Jane McDaniel of Vidette. She has been accepted at University of Georgia's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) where she will major in applied biotechnology.
McDaniel, who also is the 2007 county-wide STAR Student, received numerous awards and scholarships at this year's Honors Day including the President's Education, English, Math, Drama, Social Studies and Science awards.
Memory is the daughter of Steve Memory and Wanda Memory, both of Hephzibah.
She, too, will attend the University of Georgia where she will major in premed biology.
Memory received the President's Education Award along with numerous scholarships.
Including the valedictorian and salutatorian, this year's class has 11 honor graduates: Corey Anderson, Amy Bunn, Whitney Franks, Brandon Hamilton, Kasey Land, Kris Lovett, Carrie Newton, Meagan Nix and Jena Palmer
Other graduates are Ashleigh Barefield, Ben Blackburn, Jessie Burch, Casey Corley, Casey Cox, April Crouch, Rett Daniel, Jessica Edwards, Jayme Elliott, Dustin Hardy, Hannah Harkins, Heather Hodges, Sydney Hutcheson, Chris Mangieri, John Manley, Matt McDaniel, Emily Mizell, Daniel Mobley, Jesse Neidlinger, Meagan Nix, Kitty Pierson, Kathryn Prevatte, Leland Ready, Emily Robinson, Cory Saxon, Lauren Scott, Amy Smith and Chad Smith.
Twenty-one of the 39 students are currently eligible for the Hope Scholarship.
