Miss McDaniel to marry Mr. Horne

Richard Brian Horne and Emily Summer McDaniel

Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Tison III of Vidette announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Summer McDaniel, to Richard Brian Horne, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Horne of Cairo.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. McDaniel II of Lexington, S.C.

The wedding is planned for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the Rev. and Mrs. G. H. Summer of Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. McDaniel of Columbia, S.C., and Daisy Tison and the late F. M. Tison Jr. of Ashburn.

She is a 2000 graduate of Burke County High School and graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a doctorate in pharmacy.

She is currently employed by Wal-Mart as a pharmacist.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mary Horne and the late Arnold Horne and the late Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Cliett, all of Cairo.

He is a 2000 graduate of Cairo High School and received a bachelor's degree in music from Georgia Southern University in 2005.

He is currently employed by Miller County Public Schools as the band director.
