Mrs. Vivian G. Trawick

Mrs. Vivian G. Trawick of Midville departed from this life to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2007.

Graveside services were held at 5 p.m. Monday, May 14, at the Midville City Cemetery, with the Rev. Scott McKinney officiating.

She was born in Aiken, S.C., on Nov. 21, 1913.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jack Trawick.

She is survived by her niece, Elizabeth Allen; a nephew, William George; three great nephews, James K. Allen II, William J. Allen (Renee) and Justin Holt Allen; several great-great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Trawick graduated from the Midville High School and attended Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Ga. She then taught school for three years in the Midville School System, and later went to Atlanta and secured a job with Southern Bell for 27 years. She later transferred to Birmingham and worked there for 11 years before moving back to Atlanta. She completed her career as an em- ployment supervisor at the 51 Ivy St. building. In 1993 she retired after 39 years of service and moved back to her family home on Bark Camp Church Rd. She was a member of the Midville First Baptist Church, and the Midville Garden Club.

The family received friends at the home from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 13 (579 Bark Camp Church Rd., Midville).

Pallbearers were Kenneth Allen, Homer Brown, Joey Brown, Holt Allen, Ricky Greer and Cleve Mobley. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Baptist Church of Midville, P.O. Box 408, Midville, Ga. 30441.
