 | | Catfish chowder, catfish nuggets, catfish fillets…Joel "Smuggy" Jeffers won't have any shortage of catfish when he prepares his favorite recipes. Jeffers landed the large cat above, which he estimated to weigh more than 30 pounds, while fishing in a pond in western Burke County. The avid angler said he cut his trip short when he reeled in the monster fish. "When I caught that one, I was done," he said, having a hard time suppressing a proud grin. "I had a time getting him in." |
