Edmund Burke Academy kindergartners met a not-so-average horse during their recent field trip to Smith Farm in Shell Bluff. Champion bird dog trainer Harold Ray gave the youngsters a few pointers about training setters and treated them to a show, starring his field trial horse, Sandy. With the help of volunteers Dr. Bonnie Jenkins and Jan Blackburn, the children also got to ride horses and go fishing. Above, Harold Ray and Sandy do their grand finale.
