Black, Williams to unite in marriage

Emily Black and Ryan Williams
Mr. and Mrs. Randy Black of Waynesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Ann, to Ryan David Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Williams of Waynesboro.

The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Waynesboro.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Blount of Waynesboro and Ira Black of Sardis and the late Peggy Black.

She is a 2000 graduate of Edmund Burke Academy and graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She is currently attending Lesley University where she is pursuing a master's degree in creative arts education. She is currently employed by the Burke County Board of Education as a fifth grade teacher at Blakeney Elementary School.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Williams of Sevierville, Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs. T. P. McCarthy of Leasingham, England.

He is a 1999 graduate of Burke County High School and will graduate this May from Augusta State University with bachelor's degree in early childhood education. He will be employed by the Burke County Board of Education next fall as a first grade teacher at Waynesboro Primary School. He is also a co-owner of Williams Brothers Lawn Care.
