What a week!

Employees at local hotels and restaurants are recovering from a week slammed with Masters' guests. Above, Nan Palmer, Gina Christian and Amy Lane, all volunteers for the Downtown Organization of Retailers (DOOR), put together baskets promoting local restaurants and businesses. The baskets were given to every hotel guest in Waynesboro, and with great results. Good Day Café chef Travis Sperry said Thursday night was probably their busiest ever, comparing only to Valentine's Day. Around 150 regulars and out-of-towners filled the café and al fresco dining area from 6 to nearly 11 p.m. While retailers didn't see much extra traffic, employees at other eateries also reported a big business week.
