DUI/Drug Court graduates 10 participants

      More than a year has passed since its inception, and now 10 people have graduated from Burke County's DUI/Drug Court. The graduates, nine men and one woman, received certificates from State Court Judge Jerry Daniel recently, as their peers and court staff offered heartfelt applause.

      The following arrests were reported last week by the Burke County Sheriff's Office: Wednesday, Jan. 24 + Fred Lee Roberts, 54, of 805 Screven St., Sardis, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for driving with a suspended license and window tint violation. A $1,675 property bond was posted.
