Mr. Gerald Willard “Bill” Aldridge

Mr. Gerald W. “Bill” Aldridge, 66, of Waynesboro, beloved husband of Mrs. Barbara Thomas Aldridge, entered into rest Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006.

Memorial services were held at Rosemont Heights Baptist Church 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, with the Rev. Keith Alderman officiating.

Mr. Aldridge was born in Fitzgerald to the late Edith Mae Herrin and Grady W. Aldridge. Before retiring in Waynesboro, where Mrs. Aldridge is a native of, Mr. Aldridge lived in New York, New Jersey and Atlanta. He was a member of Rosemont Heights Baptist Church.

Additional family members are two daughters, Diane Ashworth (Wes) of Coppell, Texas, and Debra Anthony (Steven) of Buford; two grandchildren; Stephanie and Wesley Ashworth; two sisters, Susan Thornton of Patterson and Anna Lopez-Lewis of Hendersonville, N.C.; an uncle, Robert Herrin of Montgomery, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rosemont Heights Baptist Church Vision Fund, 710 Stone Ave., Waynesboro, GA 30830.
