Pregnant woman thrown from car
      A Waynesboro man was jailed for throwing a pregnant woman from a moving vehicle. Michael Turner, 26, was arrested by GBI agents Tuesday. Exactly only week earlier, Burke Medical Center employees called deputies when Turner's 20-year-old ex-girlfriend came in with road burns.

      Taking the bait Police are trying to figure out who made off with a gazillion worms. Last Thursday, a Waynesboro woman reported that someone stole an old refrigerator from outside her Dowell Street home. And it wasn't just any fridge - the victim had converted it into a bait bed.

Do you know this robber?
     Millen police want the public's help identifying the man who robbed McTeer Food Store Monday night. He was last seen heading toward Waynesboro around 10:30 p.m. According to Waynesboro officers who are assisting with the hunt, the robber demanded money from the clerk while holding his hand behind his back as if he had a gun. He was wearing a plaid flannel shirt and a camouflage hunting cap. The robber fled in a dark, newer model Chevy S-10. Anyone with information is asked to call Millen officers at 478-982- 2750 or Waynesboro officers at 706-554-8029.

Jurors drawn for Superior Court
      Jurors have been drawn for the October 2007 term of Superior Court criminal/civil session with Judge Michael N. Annis presiding.
