Dude …. $9,676!

Burke County's favorite guys helped bank close to $10,000 for downtown Waynesboro. Thursday's Celebrity Waiter Night was the biggest yet, as 24 waiters used a little elbow grease and a lot of charm to get big tips from nearly 400 dinner guests. Among the more colorful were waiters Art Lively, left, and Matthew Jenkins, pictured with Art's wife, Amy, a volunteer. The annual fundraiser is sponsored by the Downtown Organization of Retailers (DOOR), and proceeds help fund and promote downtown events like Movies Under the Stars, Christmas on Liberty Square and the Boss Hog Cook- Off.
