Dry Branch

Dry Branch Baptist Church will hold a missionary service 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, featuring a family that served in East Africa for 30 years.

The public is invited.

Church of God

The Waynesboro Church of God will hold Homecoming services 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30.

The Byrd Family of Augusta will be guest performers.

The Rev. Matthew Wigley is pastor.

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro will hold its annual Missions Conference Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 6 and 7.

The theme is "Declare His Glory Among the Nations," and the conference will begin with a 10 a.m. brunch on Saturday in the fellowship hall. There will be 11 a.m. worship services each day, and the conference will conclude with a covered dish dinner.

Reports will be given by Ron and Gayle Clegg, Jon and Janelle Beane and Clarke and Rita Holtsberry.

The public is invited.

Burke Black Churches

The Burke Black Churches will celebrate their anniversary 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at Watkinsville Baptist Church.

The Rev. Peter Sparks, pastor of Watkinsville, will be guest pastor.

The public is invited.

Smith Chapel AME Smith Chapel AME Zion Church will hold its annual camp meeting Monday-Wednesday, Oct. 1-3, at 7:30 nightly.

The Rev. William Patterson will be guest pastor.

Churches include, Monday, Oct. 1 - Cochran Grove, Ebenezer, Daniel Grove, Thankful, Wesley Chapel, Watkinsville and Beechbranch; Tuesday, Oct. 2 - Mills Grove, Oak Grove, St. Mary, New Springfield, Live River, Dalton, Phillip Grove and St. Paul; and Wednesday, Oct. 3 - Givens Grove, Fellowship, Johnson Grove, Mt. Zion AME of Augusta, Pleasant Grove, Jones Chapel, Noah's Ark and Allen Chapel.

All churches are invited.

Noah Ebenezer Central Baptist Association will meet 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Jones Grove Baptist Church in Midville.

The Rev. James Strowbridge will serve as moderator.

The Rev. Melvin Habersham is pastor.

Shechinah Worship Ministries will hold a family conference 6- 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.

Westminster Presbyterian Church will celebrate the Civil Rights Movement in song 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, at the John I. Blackburn Worship Center.
