Miss Sumner to wed Mr. Brantley

Joelle Sumner and Joey Brantley Joelle Sumner and Joey Brantley Beside a breathtaking mountain stream and waterfall, Miss Christian Joelle Sumner will become the bride of Mr. Joseph Paul Brantley on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007.

Miss Sumner's parents, Paula Garvin Currington and Clu Sumner, both of Millen, along with Mr. Brantley's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Brantley of Waynesboro, are pleased to make this announcement.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cleve Garvin and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Sumner, all of Millen.

She is a 2004 graduate of Jenkins County High School and is currently attending the nursing program at Augusta Technical College in Waynesboro. She is employed by Coleman Lake Restaurant in Midville.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Joe Waters and the late Bobbie J. Waters of Millen and Jeannette B. Turner of Waynesboro and the late Wendell Brantley of Millen.

He attended Jenkins County High School and is currently employed with Steve Bargeron and Associates Land Surveying Company in Waynesboro.

After a weeklong honeymoon trip, the couple will reside in Waynesboro.
