Teen wrecks during chase

      A 15-year-old in a stolen pickup was injured during a police chase. Around 2 a.m. Tuesday, Sardis police officers tried to pull over the teen when they spotted him driving a truck with no tag. The teen reportedly sped away and was traveling at a high rate of speed on Gordon Road when he overturned.

      Just testing An SUV owner called police last week when a potential buyer went too far. According to a report filed at the Waynesboro Police Department, the owner allowed the potential buyer to take the $13,500 Durango home for a two-day test drive.

No evidence found in search for murder victim

      Officers searched all day for the skeletal remains of a murder victim, but found nothing. Acting on a tip, Richmond County investigators scoured an area along Brier Creek in Keysville last Wednesday, looking for signs that the body of William "Al" Hamilton was buried there nearly a decade ago.

Former officer arrested for child pornography

      A former Waynesboro animal control officer has been arrested for computer pornography and child exploitation. Michael Todd Boswell, 25, of Ponderosa Road, was arrested last Tuesday by agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
