Old Fella

The Burke County Old Fella Rescue Mission will meet Thursday, July 12, at the Burke County Library.

Board members will meet 6 p.m. followed by the regular meeting at 7.

Class of '88

The Burke County Comprehensive High School Class of 1988 will meet 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28.

Mt. Moriah

The 180th series of camp meeting services at Mt. Moriah Campground will begin Thursday, July 12.

Opening services will be preached by Linda Lariscy, founder of Holding Forth the Word of Life Ministry, and she will deliver the message through Sunday. Walter Connell, pastor of Snowhill Church of God in Glenwood, will preach Monday- Thursday, July 16-19.

Mt. Moriah is located about eight miles east of Wrens. To get to the camp, take Highway 88 from Wrens to Campground Road. Turn left and follow the signs to Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church. The camp and the church are located in the same area.
