      The 2007 Burke County Recreation Department Midget Boys All-Star team scored a second place finish in the district tournament held in Effingham, June 22-27.

     Great catch! Preston Taylor, 6, caught this whopper recently while fishing at Lake Thurmond with his grandparents. His mother said he was "the proudest little boy" when he came home that night. Preston is the son of Eddie and Lynn Taylor of Waynesboro.
