     Above, the women's ensemble performed an assortment of selections, ranging from vocal jazz to pop. Right, Kenneth Brown clasps hands with BCHS choral director Jean Williams after the concert. The 16th annual concert was dedicated to Mr. Brown for his six years as the BCHS director of bands. Below, the jazz band struck several familiar notes with their tribute to the "Godfather of Soul" and other favorites.

Homegrown Healthcare
      Burke Medical Center staff is still hawing about National Hospital Week. This year's theme was "Homegrown Healthcare," and employees celebrated with a pig pickin' and lots of down-South contests including watermelon seed spitting and moon pie eating.
