Woodland could get facelift
      Woodland Terrace apartments could get a facelift in 2008. Monday, Ben Elbe of Rea Development Company told city council the 30-unit complex will be completely remodeled if the Georgia Department of Community Affairs awards them tax credits for the project.

      Burke County students interested in agriculture and natural resources will no longer have to wait until high school to learn more about the subjects. Beginning next school term, Burke County Middle School will teach courses in agriculture. The program will also offer youngsters a chance to participate in The National FFA Organization.

Rabies clinics start this weekend
      Dog owners have a chance to have their canines vaccinated. Over the next couple of weekends, local 4-Hers will be teaming up with Dr. Jim Alexander for rabies clinics offered across the county. The annual clinics offer vaccinations for pets without requiring their owners to travel to a veterinarian's office for the service.
