Civic club makes donation, challenge
      At a recent meeting, the Waynesboro Exchange Club donated $350 to the Wimberly House Ministries Inc. The contribution made the club a corporate sponsor for the Wimberly Gala, which will be held this Saturday, March 17, from 7-11 p.m.

      Mr. and Mrs. Alex T. Swan of Waynesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Elizabeth, to Jeffrey Donovan Fleming, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Fleming of Lawrenceville. The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.

      A Waynesboro family is tickled pink ... make that blue ... about salsa. Byne Blueberry Salsa is one of 26 food products that advanced to the semi-finals in the Flavor of Georgia contest. "We have a chance of winning," blueberry farmer and Waynesboro City Councilman Dick Byne said after receiving the news. "This is the only product of its kind in the United States.
