Womanless pageant set for Friday
      Caramel, Black Diamond, Rasputia and other local beautyqueen hopefuls will strut across the stage Friday evening for a good cause. The 2007 Womanless Beauty Pageant (WBP) will feature some of Waynesboro's "prettiest" men and raise funds to fight cancer.

Possible leak at Plant Vogtle ruled a false alarm
      An emergency declaration at Plant Vogtle Friday afternoon turned out to be a false alarm. According to Georgia Power spokesperson Carol Boatwright, the Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant declared a "notification of an unusual event (NOUE)," the company's lowest classification in their fivetier emergency system.
