Going for the gold

High corn prices could cause local producers to more than double their corn acreage come planting season, according to Burke County Extension Coordinator Will Duffie. About 7,000 acres were planted in the county last year. Economists believe that a strong demand for ethanol production has much to do with the favorable market. More...
