Spec to get city funding

      Waynesboro city councilmen agreed to channel nearly $45,000 into the county's new spec building. The funds, which will likely come from SPLOST revenues, will pay for water and sewer service for the soon-to-be-constructed Industrial Park building.

Repairs in store for Dogwood, 8th Street

      Waynesboro's Dogwood Drive will finally get some washout relief, thanks to SPLOST revenue. City council unanimously voted to put nearly $30,000 into repairing the area's undersized sewer and storm drains, which, over the years, have led to subsequent cave-ins, sinkholes and washouts.

More leaves than people
      City of Waynesboro workers are trying hard, but they can't quite catch up. According to City Administrator Jerry Coalson, the two-crew staff has been temporarily doubled in size in an effort to pick up the fallen leaves mounded in front of residences.

Portion of Hwy. 25 renamed
