From the Blotter Fairway, not freeway The owner of Applewood Golf Course reported damage to his 12th hole in the tune of $1,000. According to an incident report filed last Saturday, an unknown driver spoiled the fairway and green when he apparently used the course as a shortcut to a nearby apartment. Deputies followed the tire tracks through the sand trap to a parked vehicle outside a residence but could not get anyone to answer at the door. The case remains under investigation. No angel A North Augusta resident told police that her mother's gravesite was burgled yet again. According to the complainant, she left approximately eight small glass and ceramic angels on her mother's headstone at Magnolia Cemetery, having resorted to gluing them after previous thefts. When she returned for a visit just before Thanksgiving, she discovered they'd all been stolen. Under where? An unknown thief walked off with laundry belonging to a Waynesboro woman last Wednesday. The victim told police a load of laundry valued around $50 was stolen from one of the dryers she was using at Squeaky Clean. According to the victim, the load consisted solely of socks and undergarments. |
