Wanted
Waynesboro police are looking for a 17-year-old who was allegedly involved in a recent armed robbery. Jamarion Jawain Hughes has been identified as one of two robbers who held up Golden Pantry in Waynesboro, Nov. 16. Hughes, whose face was not fully covered during the robbery, was recognized by the clerk as a regular customer. He was later identified a second time in a photo lineup. Warrants were issued for Hughes' arrest last week, but police have been unable to locate him. The identity of the other robber is still unknown. In addition to the Golden Pantry robbery, Hughes is considered a suspect in at least one burglary. Police are "looking at him hard" in their investigations of other recent armed robberies, Investigator Claude Wade said, adding that he is still awaiting DNA results from evidence collected from crimes dating back several months. Anyone with information about Hughes' whereabouts or any unsolved robberies or burglaries is asked to call investigators at 706-554-8029.
