EBA's Jr. Pro suffers first loss
Edmund Burke Academy's Jr. Pro Spartans swallowed their first loss of the season and the first loss in the program's two-year history. The Brentwood Eagles of Sandersville came to Rogers Field Saturday to shut out the Spartans 6-0 after a scoreless three-quarter standoff. Although EBA never got on the scoreboard, the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade squad moved the ball within 10 yards of the end zone several times throughout the game. Head coach Rick Hopper and his 38 players, now 2-1, traveled to Louisville Monday to take on Thomas Jefferson Academy. Results were not available at press time. The Spartans' next game will be at home on Saturday, October 7 at 10:00 a.m. Pictured above is 5th grader Trey Deason who racked up yardage for the Spartans on a long run.
