Pine Hill

Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 61st deaconess anniversary Sunday, Oct. 15.

Sunday School will begin 10 a.m. with the program following at 11 a.m.

Azalean Young will serve as worship leader, and the guest churches will be Third Chapel, St. John, Jones Grove, Phillip Grove and Rock Creek.

Also, the Pine Hill Missionary Gospel Choir will present the Pre-anniversary Gospel Extravaganza 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, featuring The Scurry Brothers, The Gospel Tones of Midville, The Mighty Stars of Faith and more.

Noah's Ark

Noah's Ark Missionary Baptist Church will hold a women's conference, Friday-Saturday, Oct. 13-14. Services will begin 7 p.m. Friday, and will be held 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.

Speakers will include Rosa L. Williams of Ever Faithful; the Rev. Ella Thomas, Phillip Grove; Terry Rollins-Williams,

Hope Community; the Rev. Casetta Heard, Antioch; Melissa Johnson-Bates, Johnson Grove; and Daneille Harris, New Life COGIC. Registration is $10.

Benevolent fund

The Burke County Benevolent Fund will hold a county-wide choir practice 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at New Birth Baptist Church under the direction of Pee Wee and the Psalmsters.

If your church did not receive notice, stop by Waynesboro Emporium to pick one up.

Rosemont Heights

Rosemont Heights Baptist Church will celebrate its 42nd Homecoming "Celebrating our Future, our Heritage and our Present," Sunday, Oct. 8.

Jean Taff will lead a joint adult Sunday School class at 9:45 a.m. The message will be delivered by Ellis Taff, former pastor, at 11 a.m.

A covered dish meal will follow. The public is invited.

Fellowship

Fellowship Baptist Church will celebrate its Sunday School anniversary 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8.

The following churches are invited to participate:

Portersville Baptist, Wards Grove, McCullough Covenant, Bell Grove and Haven- Munnerlyn.

The public is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served.

William Grove

William Grove Baptist Church of Waynesboro will hold its annual Harvest Revival Wednesday Friday, Oct. 4-6, at 7:30 nightly.

The Rev. Eddie Walker will be the guest speaker.

The Rev. Howard Cheatham invites the public.

N.E.C.B.A

The N.E.C.B.A meeting originally scheduled for Oct. 6-7 will now be held 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27 and 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 at Noah's Ark Missionary Baptist Church.

The Rev. J.O. Strowbridge, moderator, invites all association churches and the public to attend.

Gospel Explosions

Gospel Explosions of Sardis will celebrate its 17th singing anniversary 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Gospel Explosions Outreach Ministry Inc.

Admission is free.

The Bishop Willie Jones Jr. is pastor.

Forest Hill

Forest Hill Baptist Church will celebrate its 24th Pastoral Anniversary for the Rev. Sylvester Nabritt Sr. 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 8.

Dr. Frank Seabrook of First Bapist Church in Stapleton will be the guest minister.

Sunday School begins at 9 a.m.

Thomas Grove

Thomas Grove Baptist Church will hold its annual Men and Women's Day program 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 8. Dr. Marilyn Carter-Tomlin will be the guest speaker.

Lewis Holy Temple

Lewis Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C. will celebrate its annual Women's Day 11:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 8.

Sunday School begins at 10 a.m.

Beverly Mack, evangelist, will deliver the message.

Lerone Lewis, pastor, invites the public. Dinner will be served.

Neely Grove

Neely Grove C.M.E. will hold its annual Family and Friends Day 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8.

The Rev. Stefon Young of Mt. Pleasant C.M.E. Church in Bartow will deliver the message.

The Rev. Raymond Thompkins invites the public.

Also, the church will hold a rummage sale noon Saturday, Oct. 7, at the church, and will sell fried fish dinners.

Bottsford Spring

Bottsford Spring Missionary Baptist Church will hold a prayer breakfast 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.

The speaker will be the Rev. L. Ann Payton, pastor of Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church. The public is invited.

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church will hold its annual World Missions Conference Friday-Sunday, Oct. 6-8, with the theme "Testifying to the Gospel of God's Grace."

Services will begin 6 p.m. Friday with a snack supper; 10 a.m. Saturday, with a brunch; and 10 a.m. Sunday, followed by a 12:30 p.m. dinner.

A children's program will be held, and there will be a nursery provided.

The Rev. Jim McKee, minister of Spiritual Transformation at Hunt Valley Church in Maryland, will be the speaker.

He has held many missionsoriented positions during his ministry, including Chief Operations Officer for Presbyterian Church in America's Mission to the World and for World Harvest Missions.

The public is invited.
