Family reunion

The Reagan, Ivey, Cooper and Griffin family reunion will be held Saturday, June 24, at Magnolia Springs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Anyone related is invited. The reunion will be hosted by Mildred "Tiny" Reagan.

Bake sale

The Friends of the Burke County Library will hold a bake sale Friday, June 16, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in the library lobby. Cookies, cakes and brownies will be for sale.

Class of 1986

A reunion meeting for the class of 1986 will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 22, at Kozy Kids Childcare, 112 E. 11th St.

Anyone wishing to participate is asked to attend the meeting or to contact Missy Kelly at 706466-1856 or Darrell Smith at 706-554-1239.

The reunion will be held Friday Sunday, June 30-July 2, at Magnolia Springs with a meet and greet on Friday, a dinner and dance on Saturday and family day Sunday.

Fashion show

Healthy Start will hold the first Lil' King and Queen Fashion Show 3-6 p.m. Thursday, July 13, at the old Blakeney Elementary School.

Children, from newborns to 5 years old, may be entered in the fashion show.

NAACP

The Burke County Branch of the NAACP will hold its monthly meeting at the Mt. Olive

AME Church of Waynesboro 9 a.m. Saturday, June 17. A Health Wellness Fair will follow at 11 a.m.

Student records

The Burke County Board of Education will destroy all student records relating to special education services for individuals who attained the age of 22 during the period of July 1, 2005-June 30, 2006.

These records will be destroyed Tuesday, Aug. 1.

Anyone wishing to recover his/her personal records before they are destroyed may call Pam Lambert or Cathy Fowler at 706-554-6303 to schedule an appointment for pickup.
