Lenten Services

Lenten services will be held Wednesday, April 12 at 7 p.m. and Easter Service will be at 6 a.m., Sunday, April 16.

The April 12 service will be hosted by McElmurray Tabernacle, and the speaker will be Rev. Byron Williams. Churches invited include Bottsford, Bryant Grove, Fairfield, Gordon Hill, New Springfield, Oak Grove, Palmer Grove, Roberson Grove and Thompson Bridge.

Easter service will be hosted by Watkinsville Baptist Church. Breakfast will be served.

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro will hold a Maundy Thursday Communion Service Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m.

The Maundy Thursday Service commemorates the Last Supper and the command that Christ gave to His disciples on that occasion.

Rev. Jim Knight, pastor, invites the public to observe the sacrament of Holy Communion on Maundy Thursday evening.

Green Branch

Green Branch Baptist Church will hold a Men's Conference 8 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 15 for young men ages 13 and older.

Magnolia Baptist Church and the Fair Haven and Habersham United Methodist churches in Perkins will hold Holy Week services April 12-14 at the Perkins Community Center. Services will begin at 6:30 p.m. each night with a meal followed by worship.

Special music April 13 will be provided by the group "Born Again." Communion will also be celebrated during that service.

Prayer Breakfast

An Annual Prayer Breakfast will be held Saturday, April 15 at 9 a.m. at Bottsford Spring Baptist Church.

The breakfast is sponsored by GMBC of Georgia, Inc., Burke County Mission Ministry, and the 10th District Women's Auxiliary.
