Ms. Thomas, Mr. Cooper to marry on March 25

Christi Thomas to wed David Cooper Jr. Mrs. Bettye Ann Catron of Atlanta announces the engagement of her daughter, Christi C. Thomas, of Waynesboro to David Y. Cooper Jr., son of J.R. and Betsy Keen of Sardis and David Y. Cooper Sr. of Waynesboro.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of Mrs. Gene Marie Catron of Creedmoor, N.C., and the late Jack Catron.

The wedding will be an event of Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 5 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keen, 774 Old Sardis Road in Sardis. No local invitations will be sent. All friends and relatives of the engaged couple are invited to attend.

The bride is the granddaughter of Jane C. White of Atlanta.

She is employed as general manager of 1st Franklin Financial in Waynesboro.

The groom’s grandparents are Carol Cooper and the late J.T. Cooper of Waynesboro and John and Marlene Hamilton of Sardis and the late Roy L. Reeves of Sardis.

He is employed as manager of the Burke County Peanut Company.
