From the Blotter A missing toddler was safely returned to her grandmother after being found by a neighbor on Poole Melton Road. After spotting the 22-month-old girl walking down the road alone last Wednesday afternoon, the neighbor carried the toddler home and called deputies. Breakthrough A Waynesboro woman recently reported being involved in a freak accident on Cates Mead Road. She told deputies she ran over an iron pipe which burst through the floorboard of her car and damaged the interior. Going under A Rincon man reported that his vehicle suffered extensive water damage while he was at Brigham Landing last Saturday. He told deputies he was attempting to unload his boat from a trailer when he accidentally backed his vehicle into the Savannah River. Breakfast to go A Waynesboro woman went to police when a fight over money turned a bit messy Saturday. According to a report filed at the Waynesboro Police Department, the victim got into a fight with the father of her child over some money he said she owed him. The fight reached its boiling point when he allegedly became enraged and threw grits and eggs on her car. No charges were filed. |
