Jones Grove

Jones Grove Baptist Church will have its annual revival 7:30 nightly Monday-Friday, Aug. 1-5.

Robert Walden will be the speaker for the week.

Guest churches are invited to attend on the night of their choice.

McKinnie Branch

McKinnie Branch Baptist Church will have its annual Family and Friends Program 11:30 a.m. Sunday, July 31.

Daisey Lawrence will be the worship leader, and praise and worship will be led by officers of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

The Rev. Walter Dukes will be the guest speaker.

Dinner will be served.

Brown Grove

Brown Grove Baptist Church will have its summer revival 7:30 nightly Monday-Friday, Aug. 15-19.

The Rev. Dr. Gregory Fuller, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church of Augusta, will be the guest evangelist for the week.

The public is invited.

Mount Olive

Mount Olive A.M.E. Church will celebrate its 100 Men in Black and 100 Women in White program 2 p.m. Sunday, July 31.

The Rev. Isaac Culbreth Jr. and St. Paul Baptist Church of Louisville will be in charge of the service.

The Sunday School Union will have its regular meeting 10 a.m. Sunday, July 31, at Haven-Munnerlyn United Methodist Church.

Red Hill

Red Hill Baptist Church will have its annual revival 7:30 nightly, Monday-Friday, Aug. 1-5.

The Rev. Kenneth Davis will be the guest pastor for the week.

Those in charge of the service each evening are as follows:

Monday, Aug. 1 – Usher Board, Red Hill, Williams Grove, Blount Hill, Mill Grove, Lovette Hill and Bryant Grove;

Tuesday, Aug. 2 – Missionary Board, Givens Grove, Cochran Grove, St. John, Thompson Bridge, Bethlehem, Barrett Grove and McElmurray Grove;

Wednesday, Aug. 3 – Senior Choir, Roberson Grove, St. Mary’s, First Bynes Grove, Sardis First Baptist and Carswell Grove;

Thursday, Aug. 4 – Walker Youth Choir, New Springfield, Beech Branch, Welcome Baptist, Friendship and Old Bethel Baptist Church; and

Friday, Aug. 5 – Deacon Board, Daniel Grove, Second Bynes Grove, Asbury U.M.C., White Oak, Haven-Munnerlyn U.M.C., Bell Grove and Friendship.

Also, the church will celebrate its 107th church anniversary 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7.

Noah Ebenezer

Noah Ebenezer Central Baptist Association will meet 10 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Palmer Grove.

Workshops have been planned with emphasis on the following ministries: ministers, deacons, trustees, ushers and youth classes to be taught on the 7 Steps to Joy. A community involvement session is also on the agenda.

Lunch will be served immediately following the meeting.

The Rev. J.J. Smith, pastor of Palmer Grove, and the Rev. Alvin Lewis Jr., moderator, invite the public to attend.

Roberson Grove

Roberson Grove Missionary Baptist Church will have "Talk Time" 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6.

Breakfast will be served from 9-10 a.m.

The seminar is free.

Wednesday, Aug. 10 – Beechwood, William Grove, Peel Grove, Thompson Bridge, St. Clair, Blount Chapel and Mills Grove (auxiliary reporting – Sanctuary Choir);

Thursday, Aug. 11 – Second Bynes Grove, Redhill, Phillip Grove, McElmurray, Thankful and Bryant Grove (auxiliary reporting – Trustee Board); and

Friday, Aug. 12 – Rock Creek, Noah’s Ark, Mays Grove, Adam Grove, Metropolitan, McCullough Covenant and New Hope (auxiliary reporting – Deacon Board).

All other auxiliaries that do not have a designated night to report, please make a report on Friday night.

Williams Grove

Williams Grove Missionary Baptist Church will have Musical Workshop Phase II 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 28, and 29.

The theme of the workshop will be "Striving for Perfection." Daren K. Newton Sr. will be in charge.

The workshop end with a concert 6 p.m. Saturday, July 30.

Second Bynes Grove

Second Bynes Grove Baptist Church will have its Fifth Sunday service 11 a.m. Sunday, July 31.

The service will be held along with Red Hill and Welcome Baptist Church.

Sunday School begins at 10:30 a.m.

The Rev. Eddie Walker will bring the message.

The public is invited.

Second McCannan

The Second McCannan Sanctuary Choir will have a gospel music workshop 6:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, July 28-30.

The workshop will be conducted by Gerald Scott, a minister and recording artist from Augusta.

The concert will be held 6 p.m. Saturday with special guest recording artist Tammy Scott.

Corinth Christian Church will celebrate its Homecoming 11 a.m. Sunday, July 31.

A covered dish will follow the morning service.

Revival services will begin that night at 7:30 p.m. and will continue Monday, Aug. 1, and Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the same time.

The Rev. Jim Emery, pastor of Taylors Methodist Church in Brunswick, will be the guest speaker. He is a former resident of Burke County and served as hospital administrator for a period of time at Burke County Hospital. He is also the former pastor of Corinth Christian Church.

His wife, the Rev. Marsha Emery, pastor of Lakeside United Methodist Church in Brunswick, will also be in attendance.

Special music will be provided by Patricia Chandler of Girard, Archie Jordon of Millen, Savannah Ferron of Girard and Jerome Walker of Sardis.

The public is invited to attend.

Noah’s Ark

Noah’s Ark Missionary Baptist Church will have its revival Monday-Friday, Aug. 1-5.

The Rev. Gregory Young of Thankful Baptist Church in Augusta will be the revivalist, and Aundra Clark will be the lecturer.

The theme of the revival will be "Reclaiming Christ as King."
