The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Burke County Sheriff's Office for the past week:


· Friday, June 20


· Evelyn Sheppard of Burke County High School reported damage to her vehicle.

Sunday, June 22

· Garrett Elroy Brown, 35, of 2088 Susie Bailey Road, Way-nesboro, was arrested for DUI, habitual violator, driving with a suspended license and speeding (81 mph in a 55 mph zone). A $4,550 property bond was posted.

Monday, June 23


· Jesiie Deondra Bush, 29, of 2359 Mims Road, Hephzibah, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, giving a false name, address or date of birth to a law enforcement officer, reckless driving, failure to stop at a stop sign and violation of the Georgia Seat Belt Law. A $3,775 property bond was posted.
· Russell Shayne Findley, 26, of 245 Morris Drive, Waynes-boro, was arrested under the Family Violence Act for simple assault, simple battery and criminal trespass. A $28,900 property bond was posted.
· Zeano Zachary Pryor, 35, of 253 Corn Road, Girard, was arrested under the Family Violence Act for sexual assault, cruelty to children in the first degree, cruelty to children in the second degree and simple battery. He was also arrested for obstructing or hindering a law enforcement officer. A $30,150 property bond was posted.

Tuesday, June 24

· Alejandro Capistran, 26, of 4736 Windsor Spring Road, Hephzibah, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for leaving the scene of an accident with damage, driving while unlicensed and following too closely. A $1,950 property bond was posted.
· Vickie Ann West, 38, of 715 Bargeron Ave., Sardis, was arrested for aggravated assault (Sardis Police Case). A $1,200 property bond was posted.
· Doretha Little of Waynes-boro reported a case involving cruelty to children.
· April Russell of Waynesboro reported a criminal trespass case.
· Lyndell Jackson of Sardis reported that someone shot two of his dogs.
· Alfonzo Cooper of Waynes-boro reported a missing tag decal.
· Deputy Marc Miller reported an unruly juvenile.
· Bill Tinsley of Waynesboro reported receiving threatening phone calls from an unknown person.
· Joseph Harding of Heph-zibah reported that someone defaced his mail.

Wednesday, June 25

· Dennis Jay Shelby Jr., 24, 5052 Mike Padgett Hwy., Augusta, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for driving with a suspended license, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, violation of the Georgia Open Container Law, speeding (100 mph in a 55 mph) and making an improper U-turn. A $4,350 property bond was posted.
· Oliver James Frazier III, 19, of 4351 Hwy. 80 East, Way-nesboro, was arrested for public indecency. A $1,200 property bond was posted.
· Gerald Denard Ashley, 45, of 928 Quaker Road Drive, Way-nesboro, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol for driving with a suspended license and speeding (79 mph in a 55 mph zone).
· Sandra Turner of Girard reported that a dog came onto her property and killed four of her pet birds.
· James Evans of Louisville reported the theft of a lawn-mower and other items from his residence.
· Paul Cates of Cates Firestone reported the theft of a toolbox and tools.
· Chantel Dixon of Girard reported that her vehicle caught on fire.

Thursday, June 26

· Lakeisha Mobley of Way-nesboro reported a burglary at her residence.
· Karlton Howard of Augusta reported a burglary in progress at Noah’s Ark Baptist Church.
· Burke County EMA reported an accidental shooting on Susie Bailey Road. The victim, who shot himself in the thigh, was transported to MCG (Medical College of Georgia) with non-life threatening injuries.
· Vivian McBride of Heph-zibah reported damage to her vehicle.
· Willie Brown reported a burglary at Brown’s Service Center in Gough.
· Charles Preston reported not being paid for an auto repair job.
· Burke County EMA reported an accidental overdose.
· Deputy Dedric Smith reported a fight at the Waynes-boro-Burke County Recreation Department (WBCRD) basketball courts. The Georgia State Patrol and Waynesboro Police Department assisted with crowd control.

Friday, June 27


· Burke County EMA reported several vandals at a carwash in Midville.
· Frank Agerton reported a criminal trespass and theft by taking case.
· Joseph Harding of Heph-zibah reported that someone destroyed his mail.
· Keldric Cobb reported damage to his vehicle.
· Patrick Lay of Waynesboro reported the theft of a piggy bank.
· Cassandra Scott of Waynes-boro reported the theft of some jewelry from her residence.

Saturday, June 28

· Nathan Robert Harden III, 24, of 690 East 7th St., Waynes-boro, was arrested for obstructing or hindering a law enforcement officer. A $1,200 property bond was posted.
· Jane Key of Hephzibah reported the theft of her vehicle.
· Nona Weddon of Waynes-boro reported damage to her property.
· Angela Denmark of Waynes-boro reported receiving harassing phone calls.

Sunday, June 29

· Patsy Johnson of Savannah reported that someone snatched $40 from her on Long Road. She also reported that he pulled a shotgun on her when she confronted him later.
· Andrew Calhoun of Portal reported that someone stabbed him.
· Mildred Ashby of Hephzibah reported a criminal trespass case.
· Ruthie Perkins of Ashby Care Home reported that a patient walked away. Officers found the man and returned him to the home.

Monday, June 30

· Charles Titus of Hephzibah reported that his vehicle was damaged by a fallen limb.
· Willie Williams Jr. of Waynesboro reported that someone fractured his jaw in an altercation at WBCRD.
· Tamika McClennon of Waynesboro reported that someone struck her with a two-by-four.
· Lisa Carroll of Waynesboro reported a missing tag decal.
· Levonta Bynes of Midville reported that someone broke into his vehicle stole a firearm.
· Dale DeLaigle of Waynes-boro reported a missing cell phone.

· Jessie Deondra Bush, 29, of 2359 Mims Road, Hephzibah, was arrested on a probation warrant.
· Kimberly Ann Thomas reported that someone broke a window screen attempting to break into her residence.
· James Edward Lewis reported that he broke a van window while doing yard work at Ogeechee Mental Health Center.
· Kira Brown reported that her cell phone was lost while swimming at the Davis Park swimming pool.
· Charlene Hughes reported that she damaged her vehicle while backing into her driveway.
· Tiffany Hankerson reported that a stereo system was stolen from her residence.
· A Waynesboro juvenile reported that someone broke a window in her residence.

· Michael D. Ceaser, 26, of 1405 Westgate Road, Waynes-boro, was cited for disorderly conduct.
· Moyzetta Shay McGee, 19, of 1405 Westgate Road, Waynesboro, was cited for disorderly conduct.
· Laena Sharice Stokes, 25, of 1405 Westgate Road, Way-nesboro, was cited for disorderly conduct.
· Gregory Harris Baker, 32, of 808 Euclid Ave., Waycross, was arrested for theft by deception
· Arther Lee Smith, 43, of 515 8th St., Waynesboro, was arrested for driving on a suspended or revoked license and passing on the shoulder of the road. Bond was set at $1,168.50.
· Natalie White reported a case of simple battery.
· Martha Ann Braddy reported that she was struck on Cherry Street.
· Arthur Scott Freeman reported that someone stole his car CD player while he was shopping at Wal-Mart.
· Tamara Lynn Rabun of Murphy’s USA reported that someone drove away without paying for their gas.
· Albert Sidney Newton reported losing his cell phone.
· Georgeann Marie Nixon reported that she was almost struck by a vehicle and cursed at.
· Nicole Bonner reported that a gold herringbone necklace was stolen from her residence.

Wednesday, June 25


· A 16-year-old Waynesboro girl was arrested for unruly juvenile.
· Terry Ann Jones, 35, of 803 Waynesboro Gardens, Way-nesboro, was arrested for shoplifting. Bond was set at $475.50.
· Tonia Lynette Sherman, 35, of 1016 Grubbs St., Waynes-boro, was arrested for disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $550.
· Cpl. Sheila Toby reported seeing a suspicious person on Stone Ave.
· Cpl. Bobbie Jockel reported a suspicious incident.
· Melvin Dant reported a criminal trespass case.
· Darlene Delaigle of Ogeechee Child and Adolescent Center reported that she recovered a brown bag containing a substance she believed was marijuana. The substance was later found not to be.
· Phillis Irene Phillips reported being assaulted in Old Waynesboro.
· Roger Teddy Williams reported simple battery.
· Shantia Osbourne reported her vehicle being struck by a juvenile.
· Animal Control Officer Brian Jewitt reported that he fell through a screen while attempting to retrieve a dog.
· Simona Aletta Lawson reported an unruly juvenile.

Thursday, June 26

· Shauntia D’ne Forth, 23, of 2455 Ben Hatcher Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for theft by taking (over $500). A $625 property bond was posted.
· Willie Albert Lawson, 33, of 202 Waynesboro Gardens, Waynesboro, was arrested for driving on a suspended or revoked license, habitual violator and DUI. A $4,175 property bond was posted.
· Curtis Lee Nair, 36, of 690 East 7th St., Waynesboro, was arrested for obstructing or hindering a law enforcement officer. An $11,550 property bond was posted.
· A 16-year-old Waynesboro boy was arrested for unruly juvenile.
· Michael Ogelsby Jr. reported a simple battery case.

Friday, June 27

· Horace Eugene Wesby, 18, of 2946 Highway 23 South, Waynesboro, was arrested for shoplifting. Bond was set at $375.
· Otha Leon Carswell, 34, of 1006 Grubbs St., Waynesboro, was arrested for forgery in the first degree. A $5,800 property bond was posted.
· Rhonda Lynette Cooper of Jet Food Stores reported someone driving off without paying for gas.
· Roy Black reported that an undetermined amount of money was removed from the register at Mobley’s Cafeteria.
· Barry Jenkins Jr. reported a simple battery case at McDonald’s.
· Janice West Liles of the EEE-ZZZ Shop reported that approximately $153 was stolen from the lottery register.
· Denise Griffin reported her mountain bike stolen from her residence.

Saturday, June 28

· Anthony Paulson of Murphy’s USA reported someone driving off without paying for gas.

Sunday, June 29

· Officer Emory Randolph reported a stabbing at Pecan Chase Apts. The case remains under investigation.
· Keathy Carter reported that her television and VCR were stolen from her business.
· Charles Atkins reported that he found and turned in a set of keys.
· Lakeisha Smith reported that an unknown male was in Time Saver using profanity.

Monday, June 30

· Marcus Turner reported a simple battery at Briarwood Apartments.
