The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Burke County Sheriff's Office
for the past week:


Monday, April 8

· Sammy Demarius Cobb, 18, of 804 Washington Drive, Waynesboro, was arrested for driving while his license was suspended and lacking headlight requirements.

· Roger McBride, 43, of 516 8th St., Waynesboro, was arrested for DUI, driving with a suspended license, no valid insurance, expired tag and a seat belt violation.

· Jimmy Ellison Jr. reported hitting a manhole cover and damaging his tire.

· Edward Dukes reported the theft of his cell phone.

· Gloria Cooper reported an incident of criminal trespass at her residence.

· Rita Anderson, of the Burke Medical Center, reported an incident of possible medical fraud.

· Shannon Turner reported finding a gold wrist chain in the city courtroom.

· William Patterson reported the theft and later recovery of his vehicle.

· Defene Robinson reported receiving harassing phone calls.

Tuesday, April 9

· Pamela Smith, of the Dollar Tree, reported having trouble with a patron.

· Donta Williams reported an incident of criminal trespass.

· John Bush Jr. reported a lost cell phone.

· Ricky Huff reported the theft of various items from a locked storage unit.

· Jennifer Williams reported receiving harassing phone calls.

· David Shellman reported someone removed a pistol from his vehicle.

Wednesday, April 10

· Kenneth Johnson, of the WPD, reported an incident of criminal trespass.

· Gregory Green reported his cellular phone was removed from his unlocked car.

· Melissa Williams reported someone entered her vehicle and removed her CD player.

· Phillip Maddox reported an incident of theft by deception.

Thursday, April 11

· Lisa Ann Wilson, 28, of Box 589 Highway 46 West, Oak Park, was arrested for DUI, driving while license was suspended and headlight requirements. Bond was set at $1,817.50.

· Jerome A. Thompson, 19, of 2628 Milledgeville Road, Augusta, was arrested for operation of a vehicle without a required decal and driving while his license was suspended. Bond was set at $705.

· Officer Douglas Kirkland, of the WPD, reported a vehicle attempting to elude police officers.

· Matilda Gordon reported damage to her windows and having trouble with a neighboring subject.

Friday, April 12

· Rachel Ann Boynton, 21, of 822 Spencer Road, Millen, was arrested for shoplifting up to $1,000. Bond was set at $375.50.

· Darrell Smith reported having trouble with a subject.

· Jason Houston reported finding what he believed to be marijuana in a vacant mobile home.

Tuesday, April 2

· Shaun Anthony Pierce, 24, of 276 Claxton Road, Girard, was arrested by the GSP for driving while his license was suspended, obstructing an officer, attempting to elude an officer and operating a vehicle with defective equipment (headlights). Bond was set at $3,645.

· Alberta Williams reported receiving harassing phone calls.

· Lataisha Webb reported her vehicle was damaged by a hailstorm.

· Robert Peters reported the theft of several trolling motors and an assortment of candy.

Wednesday, April 3

· An employee with the Burke County EMA reported an abandoned and burned vehicle.

· Julie Lewis reported losing her cell phone.

· Alex Brigham reported an incident of stalking.

· Lora Crockett reported an incident of harassment.

· Christopher Quick reported an incident of damage to property.

· James Jordan reported an incident of criminal trespass.

Thursday, April 4

· Eric Richard Quick, 26, of 131 Collins Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for possession of methamphetamines with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Bond was set at $31,650.

· Roshawn Santez White, 24, of 1240 Cates Mead Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for the criminal attempt of armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and pointing a gun at another.

· Marion Leon Hamilton Jr., 20, of Apt. 3 Orchard Hill Apts, Waynesboro, was arrested for simple battery. Bond was set at $1,100.

· Cpt. John Bush reported an incident of simple battery that occurred at the jail.

· Cpl. Richard Greiner reported the recovery of a stripped and abandoned vehicle.

· Gary Murdock reported an incident of attempted simple assault with a motor vehicle.

· Alberta Williams reported receiving harassing phone calls.

· Reginald Williams reported receiving terroristic threats and an incident of simple battery.

· Xavier Wimberly reported someone broke into his vehicle and stole several items.
· The Burke County EMA reported a male subject was bitten by two dogs.

Friday, April 5

· John Russell Dixon, 22, of 2172 Cates-Mead Road, Waynesboro, was arrested by the GSP for DUI, violation of the Georgia open container law and speeding (80/55 mph zone). Bond was set at $1,790.

· James Leroy Thomas, 34, of 4873 Hwy. 23 South, Waynesboro, was arrested for DUI and failure to report an accident with damage. Bond was set at $1,100.

Saturday, April 6

· Richard Allan Diehl, 49, of 2361 Willis Foreman Road, Hephzibah, was arrested on two counts of harassing phone calls. Bond was set at $690.

· Michael Maruka reported the recovery of a stolen vehicle.

· Zakai Osborne reported someone came onto her property and damaged several items around her home.

· Patrick Lay reported a burglary at his residence.

Sunday, April 7

· Andrew Alfonzo Singleton, 17, of 140 Aberdeen Road, Waynesboro, was arrested under the Family Violence Act for terroristic threats, cruelty to children in the second degree and disorderly conduct.

· Shannon Myres reported losing her license.

· Alonzo Boyd reported an incident of simple battery.

· James Phillips reported the theft of an ATV.

Monday, April 8

· Timothy Lenard Ellison, 40, of 140 East Ellison Bridge Road, Sardis, was arrested by the Sardis Police Department for DUI and driving while his license was suspended. Bond was set at $2,200.

· David Gardiner Wilson, 33, of 153 Morris Drive, Waynesboro, was arrested for theft by taking. Bond was set at $1,100.

· Jack Woodrow Myers, 22, of 1599 Rosedale Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for simple assault. Bond was set at $345.

· Tabitha Lovett reported her windshield was broken when it was struck by a softball.

· Charles Eskew reported someone came onto his property and removed several items.

Tuesday, April 9

· Stephen Allen reported someone removed a pistol from his unsecured vehicle.

· Laurie Newman reported receiving harassing phone calls.

· Ronald Barrett reported the theft of a tire and rim.

· Earl Martin reported a hit-and-run accident.

· Cedric Preston reported losing his cell phone.

Wednesday, April 10

· Gloria Dean Gray, 37, of 1950 Springhill Church Road, Hephzibah, was arrested for harassing phone calls. Bond was set at $345.

· Jose Chavez reported losing two calves and two goats to a dog.

· Paula Roundtree reported damaging her vehicle when she struck a raccoon.

· Bernice Jones reported someone damaged her vehicle.

· Johnny Cooper reported an incident of criminal trespass.

Friday, April 12

· William Thomas Brassell, 50, of 47704 A Highway 25 North, Hephzibah, was arrested for no proof of insurance and no license on person. Bond was set at $920.

· Dep. Dedric Smith reported a hostile subject with a possible overdose of medication.

· Robert Robinson reported criminal damage to a trailer.

· Donald Brown reported the theft of two guns from his residence.

· Charles Johnson reported another dog killed his dog.

Saturday, April 13

· Roderick Mandrell McBride, 22, of 231 Persimmon Drive, Waynesboro, was arrested for harassing phone calls. Bond was set at $345.

· Minnie Lee Kitchens reported losing her tag decal.

· Marsha Moats reported receiving harassing phone calls.

Sunday, April 14

· Terry LaFayette Kelly, 30, of 501 E. 8th St., Waynesboro, was arrested under the Family Violence Act for stalking and criminal trespass. Bond was set at $2,725.

· Albert Levi Patrick, 18, of 2718 River Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for driving while his license was suspended and speeding (83/55 mph zone). Bond was set at $1,445.

· Melissa Utley reported receiving harassing phone calls.

· Donna Barlow reported a burglary at her residence.

· Joanna Hines reported an incident of battery.

· Mamie Jo Blocker reported a hit-and-run accident.

Monday, April 15

· Robert McNeill IV reported someone damaged his vehicle.

· Christopher Haywood reported the theft of a digital analyzer from the back of his truck.

Tuesday, April 16

· Darlene Beazley reported an abandoned and wrecked vehicle.

· Joan Wilkerson reported someone came onto her property and killed one of her peacocks.
